What will my time be used for?

Your 20 hours of design can be applied to an existing project or to something new. We'll discuss how you'd like to use your time and plan accordingly.

Examples include:

• custom design solutions;
• custom cabinetry design—fireplace surrounds, home offices, and other built-ins;
• space planning;
• 3D renderings;
• performing a living in place assessment;
• furniture selection;
• finish selection and schedule preparation;
• sourcing and expediting;
• preparing a "shopping list";
• in-person or virtual meetings;
• general design advice.

You'll receive a weekly update—the Friday Flash—outlining exactly what's been accomplished and how long it took. This ensures you know how much time is left or if more is needed as we work on your project.

Does this design work all happen virtually? Or is there an in-person element?

If you live within our local area, our meeting(s) can take place in your home or at the project location. We will advise you in advance if any trip fees apply.

If you live further away or prefer not to meet in person, all work can be conducted virtually.

Is there a timeline associated with My Design Resource?

Yes, each 20-hour block is valid for 120 days once we begin working.

Let's assume today is day 0 and you purchase My Design Resource for your design project. But maybe there's a delay on your end or we won't be able to dedicate our time to your project until day 60. Your 120 days would then begin on day 60.

120 days may seem like a very short amount of time, but the design process is much more intensive than what's shown on TV. If you're concerned about the timeframe, let's have a conversation.

Can I share my time with a friend or extended family member?

No, it gets complicated when hours are shared. We recommend you each schedule a complimentary Discovery Call. During that call, we can discuss the best design option for each of your projects.
